Charlotte specifics

What you need to know about Charlotte.

Charlotte closes out 2026, and that makes it the loudest one. By November the flock will have run three cities and everybody showing up will know exactly what they came for.

November running weather

Mid-November in Charlotte typically means mornings in the 50s. Layer up for the start and plan to shed something by the first mile. This is the coldest start of the season and honestly the best one to run fast in.

The South shows up

Atlanta proved what happens when this part of the country decides to come out. Charlotte is a four-hour drive from Atlanta, so expect a lot of returning faces.

Getting here

Charlotte Douglas is one of the busiest airports in the country and cheap to fly into from almost anywhere on the East Coast.

Carolina run clubs

Charlotte has one of the fastest growing run club scenes in the Southeast. Bring yours, get group entry, get announced.

November 14 is a Saturday, and it is the last one of the year. Do not sit this one out.

Charlotte run day

Three hours. One flock.

Doors early, run at the top, then the part nobody leaves for. Every city runs the same play, 11am to 2pm.

  1. Doors

    Check in and pre-fuel

Registration opens hours before the start. Hydration stations and pre-workout meal vendors so you're not running on empty.

  2. Warm-up

    The group stretch

The whole flock warms up together before anybody moves.

  3. The run

    5K, your way

Five kilometers through Charlotte, or a couple of miles if that's your day. Run it, walk it, pace it with a crew. Nobody gets left behind.

  4. Recovery

    The recovery zone

Cold plunges, a recovery lounge, and stretch and sport massage tables. What that actually does for you.

  5. Village

Food, brands, and a DJ set

Eat, meet the flock, shop the Charlotte drop, and catch the DJ.

  6. Headliner

    Waka and Friends, live

You ran. You earned it. The day closes with a headline show.

Find your crew

Pick a pace. Roll with your people.

The question we get most is whether someone is fit enough. If you can walk three miles, you belong here. Never run a 5K before?

8min / mile

The Front

Fast as Flock. Chasing a time, setting the tone.

  • Steady, quick tempo
  • Experienced runners
  • Runs the full 5K
8 to 10min / mile

The Pack

The heart of the flock. Conversational, social, loud.

  • Comfortable pace
  • Most of the flock lives here
  • 5K or a couple of miles
12+min / mile

The Stroll

Jog it, walk it, run-walk it. First-timers welcome.

  • Walkers welcome
  • Come as you are
  • Any distance counts
